Adrià Puntí

Adrià Puntí has been around the world of music for some time now.
His first appearance was in 1980, when he created the group La felaction on the rocks, which performed performances combining music and theater. They presented their creations in several rooms and discos in Girona.
In 1983 he won the Banyoles Song Contest and then in 1984-1985 he performed with Eduard Canimas, in several bars in Girona, where they sang songs by Sisa, Pau Riba, Lou Reed, Jim Morrison, David Bowie.. .
In 1989 he formed the group Umpah-Pah, with whom he recorded five albums and a mini CD.
Most of the songs and lyrics were composed by Adrià Puntí, and he was also responsible for the production of the group's video clips.
Umpah-Pah was the winner of several awards, including: Ondas, L'Altaveu, the National Music Award of Catalonia and the Premi de les Mosques de Girona.
In 1991 he obtained a grant from the Generalitat and then made a video with Jordi Martorano, who titled it ""La criatura dels vortexs"".
They exhibited it in several places in Catalonia, including the Sala Fidel Aguilar in Girona.
After a few years, in 1995, he wrote the foreword to the book Trucant a les portes del cel, by Bel Bosch. Then, in 1996, he was the author of the music for the play ""El Robinson del Metro"" by the Company of the Station.
That's when he started doing his first solo performances.
At the same time he debuted as an actor in the theater with Tallaret de Salt, in the play "Culpido", together with Cristina Cervi.
During the year 1997 this show was taken on tour throughout Catalonia and arrived at the Greek Summer Festival, at the Artenbrut hall in Barcelona.
Also in 1997 he released his first solo album Pepalalarga i..., co-produced by Puntí himself and Quimi Portet.
The year 1999 is when he recorded and released his second solo album, titled L'hora del Pati also produced by Quimi Portet and Puntí himself.""Sota una col"" is the first single that was released of the disk.
In 2002, he published his third solo work, Maria. It should be noted that Adrià Puntí's three solo albums have been produced by Quimi Portet.
