His main musical interest is composition. In this context, he particularly admires the Spanish and Catalan piano tradition of the 20th century

Now presents “Spleen Variations” which includes 11 original compositions, with the title “Spleen Variations”, and a version of the work Gymnopédie nº 3 by Erik Satie. The word "Spleen" comes from the word, in classical Greek, "Splen", which refers to moss. According to "the theory of humors", it is in this organ that melancholy is born. The composition process of this music coincided with the re-reading of the book "Le Spleen de Paris" by Charles Baudelaire. This book, which Miquel remembered reading for the first time in his youth, transported him to a gloomy and sadly disenchanted atmosphere. In his opinion, the author managed to transform his psychological suffering into a work of art that redeemed the pain.
