Raimon

Ramon Pelegero Sanchis, who takes the artistic name of Raimon, is a Valencian singer, one of the most important exponents of the New Song musical style and one of the best-known veteran artists. Raimon was born in Xàtiva in the province of Valencia on December 2, 1940, in Carrer Blanc, to which he refers in some songs.In his youth he worked for several years as a radio announcer in his hometown, absorbing the music of artists as diverse as Juliette, Platters, and Juanito Valderrama.
