Septeto Santiaguero

The Septeto Santiaguero is a Cuban group founded in 1995 in the city of Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. From their beginnings they adopted the traditional septet format, that is, guitar, tres, bongo, claves, maracas, double bass, trumpet and tumbadora as musical instruments. The group was a septet of eight musicians, but it kept the septet name because the musical genre it played and how it was performed was a septet itself.
